20 Maoists arrested together with PLG Battalion deputy commander in Telangana, large quantity of weapons recovered

The Telangana police arrested 20 armed Maoists from the Mulugu district on Friday and Saturday, who fled after a marketing campaign by safety forces on the Karragutta hill on the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border. Three INSAS rifles, 4 SLRs, a 303 rifle together with 28 weapons, two dwell grenades, 58 thousand rupees in money and different objects have been recovered from them.

The arrested Maoists embody PLGA Battalion-1 Deputy Commander Kunjam Lakkha and 5 Space Committee members Marigala Smati, Makam Kosi, Podium Jogi, Madvi Seema, Muchaki Ranju and 14 different occasion members.

In response to the Telangana police, the search operation was on after the marketing campaign on the Karegutta hill. In the meantime, six Maoists had been arrested from the Palem mission of Venkatpuram police station space and 7 Maoists from Wazedu and Kannaiigudem police station space.

Police stated the arrested Maoists had been concerned in a number of main assaults like Burkapal (2017), Kistaram (2018), Minapa (2020) and Tekalgadem (2022).
